hey friends. it has been a while since the last update, and a lot has happened since then. we were in the midst of gearing up for a host of shows in 2008 and had plans to start a new CD/EP project as well, as we have a lot of great new music to share. in the middle of that, ian decided to part ways with DFE for personal reasons. we are pleased at the great music we made with ian as our drummer, and his playing set the standard for this new language we created in this new soundscape. with that said, we were very fortunate to have ben bjorlie join us on drums, and he has brought a new, forceful, propulsive sound to the band, and has revived our interest in some of our more obscure, less played tunes, in addition to breathing life into brand new tunes that we are just now working into the setlist. in short, life is good for us, and we are excited about the new sounds and new energy ben is bringing to the trio. see you this summer!
